The BRF already has an 80kWp solar system on the roof and 12 electric car chargers (3.5kW) installed in the parking garage.
The BRF installs a battery system to cut power peaks and optimize the self-produced solar energy. In addition, the BESS must be used to participate in SVK’s balance market to generate direct revenue when it is not used for power cutting and solar energy optimization.
The BRF has relatively long power peaks between 16:00 – 21:00. This means that the potential for power peak shaving is around 40kW. In addition, the power peaks are assumed to increase as more electric car chargers are installed in the future.
